Circular walk on Kolokitha Island from Elounda, passing old threshing floors, two churches, a small archaeological site and Kolokitha Beach, with magnificent views of the sea and the bay.

A short, exciting circular walk through the little-visited Kritsa Gorge along dry riverbeds and old donkey trails, with easy scrambling sections for children and adventurers, which can be extended to a longer circular walk.

Circular walk through varied, partly jungle-like landscapes, past many small churches to a mountain peak with a small church and beautiful views, including discoveries in the village of Kalamafka such as the green oasis of Kefalovrisi and the rock church of Timios Stavros.

Short, adventurous hike in south-eastern Crete near Ierapetra through a small gorge, which, depending on the water level, requires scrambling over rocks and sometimes wet feet.

Easy hike above the old road to Sitia through typical Cretan countryside with fantastic views of the coast, the town of Agios Nikolaos, Mochlos and the island of Psira.

Hike from the village of Pefki through the varied Pefki Gorge, past small waterfalls and along the stream. Return above the gorge to Pefki. Optionally, after crossing the gorge, hike to the village of Makrygialos.

  • Sun protection and sufficient water are important even on short tours.
